July 26th Miami Vice Match at Green Mountain Regulators
July 20, 2014
It's time for our Annual Mid-Summer Miami Vice match at the Green Mountain Regulators. For those of you who missed the fun the last 5 years, here are the particulars:
Safety is first and always Rule # 1.
Anyone who wants to shoot the normal Cowboy way should feel free to do so.
We do have a relaxed dress code for the Summer and we are starting 30 minutes early to beat the heat. The main requirement is closed-toed shoes or boots, and some kind of hat. Eyes and ears, as always. Come as your favorite Miami Vice character, or just put on your best 80's pastels, or go Hawaiian...something tropical... something cool …
Lead bullets only, loaded to CAS levels. NO FULL POWER AMMO. All calibers are allowed, if you have figured out how to make that AR cycle with lead bullets with Cowboy loads bring. I think Circuit Judge is shooting his Thompson...in semi-auto, of course.
For those of you who want to bring all the “safe queens” out, semi-autos are allowed, as are pumps, levers, revolvers, bolt actions, etc. You can even treat those pistols like a rifle and use them to shoot the rifle targets. 5 shot revolvers must NOT be handled with a live round under the hammer. You can reload the 5th round, or take a miss if you really want to shoot that snub-nose 38.
REMEMBER we start 30 minutes early and we will be shooting 5 stages.
